What the hell is happening in DC and everywhere cargo moves? Logistics professionals are grappling with unprecedented change and uncertainty in every aspect of trade and transportation.

Constant change and uncertainty is imposed on all who facilitate ocean, air, truck logistics –domestic or international. Every day, whipsawed by on-again off-again tariffs, deminimis gone, import restrictions enforcement, cargo theft everywhere, retaliation by our trading partners, aggressive yet inconsistent US Customs Border Protection enforcement, ocean carriers consolidating and changing routes to avoid coming fees on Chinese owned/built ships, resuscitating shipbuilding in the US, our largest railroads merging, expanding ICE enforcement on trucking, industry, and agriculture, as well as rampant cargo theft, detention/demurrage at the ports, and proposals to increase allowable truck weights.

In DC politics is in everything – who can provide some clarity and predictions? Unvarnished!

As US Senate Counsel and Capitol Hill advocate, he wrote Ocean Shipping Acts, and Harbor Maintenance Fee (collected on all imports); a founder and Counsel to Coalition of New England Companies for Trade (CONECT) and the Agriculture Transportation Coalition, “the voice of agriculture exporters in US transportation policy”; he advises globally recognized footwear brands on import and transport strategy.

We will also have time for a short Q&A session.
